Miriam Be. Hypochlorous Acid Spray
Cleanse • Refresh • Soothe
Hypochlorous acid (HOCl) spray is a water-based skincare product containing a substance your body naturally produces through certain immune cells to help defend against germs. When properly formulated for skin, it can help cleanse the skin, reduce the presence of certain microorganisms, and soothe irritated skin.
It is often used as part of a gentle skincare routine, especially when skin needs refreshing after sweating, workouts, or exposure to everyday irritants.
Benefits of hypochlorous acid spray
Helps cleanse the skin
Can help reduce certain bacteria and other microorganisms on the skin when the product is formulated and labeled for that purpose.
Calming and soothing
May help calm the feeling of irritated skin and support comfort for some people with sensitive skin.
Post-workout freshness
Useful for refreshing sweaty skin after exercise, although it does not replace washing away sweat, dirt, and sunscreen.
Supports skin recovery
May support the skin's natural healing environment by helping keep the skin clean. It is not a cure for acne, eczema, or wounds.
Other potential uses include refreshing odor-prone external skin and supporting a gentle routine for skin that is prone to irritation. Results depend on the specific formula and how it is used.
How to use it
Face
Start with clean skin.
Close your eyes and mist lightly, following the product label.
Allow it to dry, then apply moisturizer.
May be useful in a routine for acne-prone or sensitive skin.
Underarms, inner thighs and bikini line
Apply only to external skin if the product is labeled for that use. Allow it to dry before dressing. It may help refresh skin after sweating, shaving, or waxing.
Before and after workouts
Use on suitable external skin according to the label. After exercise, shower or cleanse when possible to remove sweat, oils, and dirt.
Feet
apply to clean skin and allow to dry. It may help refresh the skin, but persistent foot odor may require treatment for its underlying cause.
What about intimate care and menopause odor?
Hormonal changes during menopause can change vaginal moisture, pH, and odor. Hypochlorous spray is not a treatment for vaginal odor or infections.
Use around the intimate area only on external skin, and only if the label permits.
Never spray inside the vagina or use it as a vaginal douche.
After using the bathroom, continue normal wiping and hygiene; the spray is not a substitute.
After intimacy or during your period, gentle external cleansing is generally sufficient.
New, persistent, fishy, or unusually strong odor, especially with itching, burning, or unusual discharge, warrants medical evaluation.
spray it on a pillowcase
Only if the specific product label permits use on fabrics. A skin-care spray should not automatically be treated as a fabric disinfectant.
How often should you use it?
Follow the directions on your particular bottle. If its instructions support it, start with once daily and increase to twice daily only if needed and tolerated. More frequent use is not necessarily more effective.
Avoid contact with eyes.
Patch-test first, especially if your skin is sensitive.
Stop using it if irritation develops.
For eczema, persistent acne, or broken skin, seek advice from a healthcare professional.
